My best friends came over to London last fall. It worked out that it would be my 30th birthday and one of my friends could make arrangements for us to fly abroad somewhere! She had vouchers, I think it was, so at no cost Norwegian air had many destinations we could choose from. The lucky winner was Copenhagen. This sounds silly but I remember NYX cosmetics had a line of lip glosses named after cities and I remember Copenhagen being a beautiful rich plum color. My recall of anything about Denmark otherwise was pretty minimal…
This was the easiest trip into a country I think I ever had. From the early morning getting to Gatwick, check in and security to when we got on the plane was a smooth ride. We were in the first row on the flight as well. I remember once we got into Denmark, we took the train and then had walked a ways to our airbnb. It was September time so it was too cold for my liking haha but I was still excited to have the weekend together with everyone.
Spending time sitting and talking over food and drinks or walking through riverside canals to go shopping is my favorite thing to do with people I care about. For a short weekend trip, I think we did it just right. Somehow I didn’t snap as many pictures as I normally do to really help narrate the story of the trip. But since it was only a couple days, I guess it narrates things accurately!
Now that I’m reflecting on it, we did a lot of walking and stopped at anything that caught our attention. It was nice we didn’t have any crazy plan or set schedule. I guess the photos point that out. Just snapping whatever I saw and wanted to remember. I can just appreciate a memory for what it is and that’s how I feel when I see photos of things I’ve done.
