I wasn’t in Canada for even a day but can say I was able to visit twice! We even asked for a passport stamp to confirm this because, for some reason, it just isn’t something they do I guess. I eventually got it walking from the New York side across Rainbow Bridge.

My journey to New York turned into a pit stop in Toronto for a few convenient reasons. My flight there was cheaper, my friend lived closer to YYZ than LaGuardia and our favorite band was due to perform in Buffalo just over an hour away from the airport. So why not just go to Canada? Her adventurous and brilliant idea led us to stop at Niagara Falls to kill some time. (one of the many free things we did.) Apart from highways and the downtown city skyline, Niagara was basically all I saw. The nature was a good way to begin the trip because in just 24 hours, we were due to step into concrete chaos in Manhattan off the Amtrak. Upstate was very green, fresh and calm. I’d like to go back for a true visit one day.
